NG Earsafe, India’s first and only ENT-certified premium open-ear headphone brand, has successfully raised ₹1.06 crore in a Seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures, a prominent angel investment firm based in Gurugram. The startup plans to utilize these funds to enhance brand awareness, expand its market reach, and drive innovative product development.
What Does NG Earsafe Offer?
NG Earsafe is pioneering safe listening solutions through its unique headphones that leverage Air Conduction and Bone Conduction Technology. This innovative approach transmits sound via vibrations, bypassing the eardrum and ensuring a safer listening experience. Founded by Meet Shah, CEO (MBA from NMIMS, formerly with Godrej), and Raj Shah, COO (MBA from RK University), NG Earsafe is set to disrupt the audio market.
Market Presence and Growth
The startup has successfully sold over 43,000 headphones and boasts a robust direct-to-consumer (D2C) presence across major marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart. Additionally, NG Earsafe’s products are available in over 100 retail stores nationwide, including well-known chains like Sangeetha and Phonewale, and are currently operating at an annual revenue run rate (ARR) of ₹10 crore.
“Our mission at NG EarSafe is to promote safer listening practices as WHO predicts that 1 in 4 people will face hearing problems by 2050,” said Meet Shah. “We aim to shift consumer behavior toward safer audio solutions to mitigate forecasted hearing damage.”
Capitalizing on Global Headphone Market Growth
The global headphones market is valued at $71 billion, growing at a CAGR of 12%, with India contributing around ₹7,000 crore. Notably, the open-ear headphone segment is expected to reach a market size of ₹2,500 crore within the next three years, indicating a significant opportunity for growth in this niche.
