PRISM Announces Major Leadership Reshuffle to Accelerate Global Expansion and Strengthen Key Markets

PRISM, the parent company behind hospitality giant OYO, has unveiled a significant leadership realignment designed to sharpen its global focus and propel growth across its diverse portfolio of brands. This strategic reshuffle aims to enhance operational efficiency and drive expansion in key regions including Europe, Asia, and the United States.

The announcement marks an important milestone for PRISM as it seeks to leverage its existing assets and accelerate international market penetration amid growing competition and evolving customer expectations.

Leadership Changes Focused on Global Growth and Operational Excellence

At the heart of this reshuffle is Ankit Tandon, previously the CEO of OYO Vacation Homes, who has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PRISM and CEO, Europe. In this expanded role, Tandon will oversee PRISM’s global business performance, including well-known hospitality brands such as Belvilla, DanCenter, and Sunday Hotels.

His remit extends beyond Europe, covering operations in the UK and the US — where PRISM controls G6 Hospitality, the parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6. Alongside this, Tandon will continue to lead the Vacation Homes business, managing CheckMyGuest in France and MadeComfy in Australia. This consolidated leadership role underscores PRISM’s commitment to strengthening its footprint across multiple continents through cohesive management.

Varun Jain’s Expanded Role to Drive Growth Across Asia and India

The reshuffle also sees Varun Jain, who was previously COO for India, take on a larger responsibility as COO for Asia. This expanded mandate includes India and the SEAME region — which covers Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Jain’s portfolio now includes oversight of Traum Ferienwohnungen, a key player in Germany’s vacation rental market. Within India, two critical businesses, Innov8 (a coworking space provider) and Weddingz (a wedding planning platform), will now report directly to him, supported by trusted leaders Pankhuri Sakhuja and Nitin Gupta.

By entrusting Jain with this broader regional responsibility, PRISM aims to consolidate its market position and capitalize on fast-growing demand in Asia, a region known for its dynamic economic growth and evolving hospitality needs.

Continued Focus on Customer Experience and Operations

Customer experience remains a priority for PRISM amid its global ambitions. Shreerang Godbole will continue in his role as Chief Service Officer, responsible for leading customer experience and operations across PRISM’s diverse business units.

Godbole’s remit also includes managing operations for DanCenter in Europe and MadeComfy in Australia — brands integral to PRISM’s vacation rental portfolio. His continued leadership reflects the company’s focus on delivering consistent and high-quality guest experiences as it scales.

New COO for Europe Homes & Hotels: Shirish Damani

To complement Ankit Tandon’s expanded leadership, Shirish Damani has been appointed as COO for Europe Homes & Hotels. Damani will work closely with Tandon to drive supply growth, optimize revenue streams, and improve margins across key European brands.

Additionally, Damani will take charge of PRISM’s global mergers and acquisitions (M&A) efforts — a vital function as the company seeks strategic acquisitions to boost market share and enhance its service offerings.

Strategic Vision: Unified Leadership Driving Expansion and Synergy

This reshuffle reflects PRISM’s broader strategy to unify its leadership and build regional expertise across its portfolio. By consolidating oversight under experienced executives with deep market knowledge, PRISM aims to unlock synergies between brands and create a more agile, responsive organizational structure.

The focus on markets such as Europe, Asia, and the US aligns with PRISM’s goal of becoming a dominant global player in the hospitality space — not just in traditional hotel operations but increasingly in vacation homes and alternative accommodations.

What This Means for PRISM and Its Brands

With the realignment, PRISM is positioning itself to:

  • Accelerate international growth by empowering regional leaders to act swiftly and strategically
  • Enhance operational efficiency through focused leadership that drives margin improvement and revenue growth
  • Leverage cross-brand synergies to maximize asset utilization and customer acquisition
  • Expand M&A activity to strategically acquire complementary businesses and enter new markets

This comprehensive leadership overhaul signals PRISM’s ambition to stay ahead in an industry undergoing rapid transformation due to changing travel trends, digital disruption, and increasing customer expectations for personalized experiences.

Challenges Ahead and Leadership’s Role

While the hospitality sector is showing promising recovery after the pandemic, global expansion poses challenges ranging from regulatory complexities and cultural differences to competitive pressures and operational scalability.

PRISM’s new leadership team faces the critical task of navigating these hurdles while ensuring consistent service standards and brand reputation across geographies.

Executives like Ankit Tandon and Varun Jain, with their proven track records in managing large teams and complex operations, will be instrumental in steering the company through this growth phase.

Looking Forward: PRISM’s Path to Global Hospitality Leadership

The leadership reshuffle at PRISM underscores a clear message: the company is ready to scale aggressively and compete on the world stage. With a sharp focus on key markets, customer-centric operations, and strategic acquisitions, PRISM is setting the stage for the next phase of growth.

For investors, partners, and customers, this transition signals a renewed commitment to innovation, efficiency, and global expansion.

In the years ahead, PRISM’s leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping how the company adapts to emerging trends — from sustainable tourism to AI-powered hospitality tech — ensuring it remains a front-runner in the evolving landscape of travel and accommodation.

PRISM’s top-level leadership reshuffle is much more than a change in titles — it is a strategic realignment geared toward boosting international presence, operational excellence, and market leadership.

With seasoned leaders taking charge of critical regions and functions, the company is poised to capitalize on global opportunities and overcome industry challenges, delivering enhanced value to stakeholders worldwide.

As PRISM charts this ambitious growth trajectory, all eyes will be on how its redefined leadership drives performance across its impressive portfolio of brands.
