INDmoney Grows Revenue 2.3X to Rs 164 Cr, Expands Trading, Lending, and Global Investing

INDmoney Revenue Jumps 2.3X to Rs 164 Crore in FY25 Amid Investments in Growth

INDmoney, India’s wealth management and investing platform, reported a 2.3X increase in operating revenue for FY25, reaching Rs 164 crore, compared to Rs 70 crore in FY24. Total revenue for the year grew 67% to Rs 214 crore, reflecting strong adoption across the platform’s products and services.

While the top line soared, the company’s cash losses widened to Rs 76 crore, up from Rs 32 crore in FY24, due to increased investments in trading infrastructure, lending capabilities, and global investing services.

Revenue Driven by Long-Term Investor Behavior

Unlike trading-led brokerages, less than 10% of INDmoney’s FY25 revenue came from futures and options (F&O) trading. The bulk of revenue is now derived from long-term investor behavior, including recurring investments, repeat usage, and asset holdings.

The company reported that around 85% of its revenue now exhibits annuity or perpetuity-like characteristics, driven by:

  • Recurring investments in Indian and US equities

  • Wealth management and advisory services

  • Long-term holding of financial assets

This revenue mix positions INDmoney as a platform with predictable, recurring income, unlike platforms heavily dependent on high-frequency trading.

Multiple Revenue Streams

INDmoney’s diversified revenue comes from several financial services, including:

  • Indian and US equities trading

  • Cross-border remittances

  • Secured lending and in-house NBFC services

  • Insurance and other financial products

The platform also recently launched INDstocks, a separate trading service, further expanding its suite of offerings for retail and institutional investors.

Why Losses Widened

The widening of cash losses to Rs 76 crore in FY25 is primarily attributed to front-loaded investments aimed at long-term growth. These include:

  • Building a full-stack Indian trading infrastructure

  • Expanding global investing capabilities through GIFT City

  • Establishing in-house lending rails for its NBFC business

  • Strengthening compliance and technology systems

INDmoney views these investments as essential for scaling operations, improving user experience, and capturing a larger share of India’s wealth management market.

Strategic Outlook

With recurring revenue now forming the bulk of its income, INDmoney is well-positioned to leverage long-term investor behavior for sustainable growth. The company’s strategy focuses on:

  • Expanding its full-stack trading infrastructure

  • Offering global investment access to Indian users

  • Scaling secured lending and wealth management products

  • Strengthening technology, compliance, and risk management

These efforts aim to position INDmoney as a comprehensive wealth management platform catering to both domestic and international investors.

Why This Matters

INDmoney’s performance highlights key trends in India’s fintech and wealth management sector:

  • Shift from high-frequency trading to long-term investment models

  • Increasing adoption of digital wealth platforms among retail investors

  • Strategic use of investments and infrastructure development to drive long-term growth

The platform’s strong revenue growth, despite widening losses, signals confidence from users and investors in INDmoney’s vision and execution.

INDmoney’s 2.3X revenue growth to Rs 164 crore in FY25, coupled with recurring revenue from long-term investor behavior, underscores the platform’s strong market positioning. While losses have increased due to strategic investments, the company’s focus on trading, lending, and global investing infrastructure positions it for sustainable long-term growth in India’s wealth management ecosystem.
