Mumbai-based banking infrastructure startup Knight Fintech has secured $23.6 million in a new funding round led by Accel, with participation from IIFL and Rocket Capital. Existing investors including Prime Venture Partners, 3One4 Capital, Commerce VC, and Trifecta Capital also joined the round.

The funding will support Knight Fintech’s mission to strengthen the digital banking ecosystem and expand its suite of financial infrastructure products.

Startup Focuses on Core Banking Infrastructure

Connecting Banks, Lenders, and Borrowers

Founded in 2019, Knight Fintech provides core infrastructure that links banks, non-banking financial companies, platforms, and borrowers. Its technology enables smooth capital flow across the financial ecosystem while supporting a range of digital financial services.

The startup’s offerings include co-lending, digital lending, embedded finance, and treasury management, making it a comprehensive partner for financial institutions seeking to scale operations efficiently.

Co-Lending Stack Drives Growth

Enabling Partnerships Across the Financial Sector

Knight Fintech’s co-lending stack allows banks and large NBFCs to collaborate with other institutions to originate and distribute loans. This technology facilitates broader credit access while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency for participating institutions.

The startup has positioned itself as a key enabler of India’s growing digital lending and embedded finance landscape.

Future Outlook

With the fresh capital infusion, Knight Fintech plans to expand its technology platform, enhance its product offerings, and accelerate partnerships across the banking and financial ecosystem. Investors are betting on the startup’s potential to transform digital lending infrastructure in India and beyond.
