Proptech startup Truva has raised $6.32 million (Rs 56.72 crore) in a Series A funding round led by existing investors Stellaris Venture Partners and Orios Venture Partners. The round values the Bengaluru-based company at over $30 million, underscoring growing investor confidence in technology-led solutions for India’s real estate market.

The fresh capital will be used to support working capital needs and accelerate business expansion as Truva looks to strengthen its position in the residential property discovery and buying space.

Details of the Funding Round

According to regulatory filings with the Registrar of Companies, Truva’s board approved the issuance of 54,628 Series A Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares at an issue price of Rs 10,383 per share. This resulted in total proceeds of Rs 56.72 crore.

Investor Participation

  • Stellaris Venture Partners led the round with an investment of Rs 30.5 crore

  • Orios Venture Partners followed with Rs 26.22 crore

Both investors were already backers of the company, signaling continued belief in Truva’s growth trajectory and business model.

As per estimates by Entrackr, the round values Truva at approximately Rs 284 crore, or $31.6 million, on a post-money basis.

How Truva Plans to Use the Funds

The company plans to deploy the newly raised capital across multiple priorities.

Focus on Expansion and Operations

According to the RoC filing, the funds will be used primarily for:

  • Working capital requirements

  • Business expansion

  • Strengthening operational capabilities

This includes enhancing the platform, onboarding more property supply, and expanding presence in existing and new markets.

What Truva Does

Founded in 2023 by Puneet Arora, Monil Singhal, and Ankit Gupta, Truva operates in the fast-evolving proptech space, aiming to simplify and modernize the home-buying journey.

A Data-Rich Property Discovery Platform

Truva offers detailed residential property listings enriched with insights designed to help buyers make more informed decisions. Key features include:

  • Natural light scores for homes

  • Noise level ratings

  • 3D virtual tours

  • High-quality photos and videos

Beyond discovery, the platform supports buyers through critical steps such as financing, documentation, and property registration, positioning itself as a full-stack solution rather than just a listings portal.

Addressing Gaps in Traditional Real Estate

India’s real estate market has long been criticized for a lack of transparency and fragmented buyer experiences. Truva is attempting to address these issues by combining technology, data, and on-ground support.

By offering deeper insights into properties and surrounding conditions, the startup aims to reduce uncertainty for buyers, especially first-time homeowners.

This approach differentiates Truva from traditional property portals that largely focus on listings without contextual or experiential data.

Why Investors Are Doubling Down

The proptech sector has seen renewed interest as housing demand rebounds and digital adoption increases across real estate transactions.

Strong Conviction From Existing Backers

The fact that Stellaris and Orios led the Series A round as repeat investors suggests strong internal conviction in Truva’s execution and long-term potential.

Investors appear to be betting on Truva’s ability to build a trusted, user-centric platform in a category where decision-making is complex and high-value.

Competitive Landscape

Truva operates in a competitive market that includes established real estate portals and emerging startups offering niche solutions such as virtual tours, brokerage-free listings, and transaction support.

However, its emphasis on property quality insights, combined with end-to-end buyer assistance, could help it carve out a differentiated position as consumers increasingly seek transparency and convenience.

Looking Ahead

With fresh capital in hand, Truva is expected to focus on scaling operations, improving product depth, and expanding its reach. As competition in proptech intensifies, execution speed and customer trust will be key to sustaining growth.

The Series A funding marks an important milestone for the young startup, positioning it to build a stronger footprint in India’s residential real estate ecosystem.
