Pikndel, a fast-growing logistics tech startup, has successfully raised $1 million in a seed funding round to redefine quick-commerce delivery for D2C and e-commerce brands. The round, led by VC Grid, also saw participation from D2C Insider Angels, Breathe Capital, Venture Catalysts, and prominent industry figures like Akash Gupta from Zypp and Keshav Bhajanka from Century Plywood. Several influential family offices from Kolkata also joined in, underscoring the strong investor interest in the startup’s innovative approach.
Founded in 2022 by Siddharth and Tullika Batra, Pikndel is tackling one of the biggest challenges in India’s booming e-commerce sector—fast, cost-effective delivery. The startup’s unique model leverages a network of shared dark stores combined with a tech-enabled last-mile fleet to offer brands flexible delivery options. From one-hour delivery to next-day options, Pikndel is ensuring faster and more efficient delivery experiences for customers while improving operational efficiency for brands.
Pikndel’s solution allows brands to launch quick-commerce services in as little as 72 hours, helping them meet the growing demand for speed in deliveries. The startup’s shared dark store model also makes this process more affordable, offering a practical alternative to the costly individual dark store model, which often struggles to generate returns in today’s competitive environment.
The quick-commerce industry in India is expected to reach $10 billion by 2029, driven by increasing consumer expectations for faster service. Pikndel’s model is uniquely positioned to address this demand by providing a scalable, efficient infrastructure that allows brands to quickly tap into the growing market without incurring heavy costs.
Siddharth Batra, co-founder of Pikndel, shared his thoughts on the investment, noting that it would enable the startup to expand across multiple cities while strengthening its last-mile delivery infrastructure. “The fast-paced business environment has transformed consumer expectations,” he said. “Pikndel’s shared dark stores and agile last-mile solutions enable brands to enter the quick-commerce market swiftly and efficiently.”
Vansh Oberoi, Managing Partner at VC Grid, expressed excitement about the investment, citing Pikndel’s ability to address a critical gap in India’s e-commerce logistics landscape. “Their innovative approach not only makes quick-commerce accessible to more brands, but it also ensures scalability and operational efficiency,” he added.
As Pikndel continues to expand and refine its offering, its potential to reshape the logistics tech space in India is becoming increasingly clear. With its efficient, flexible solutions and strong backing from investors, Pikndel is well-positioned to lead the charge in the rapidly evolving e-commerce delivery market.
