Paytm’s New UPI Statement Feature Makes Personal Finance Management Easier
In a bid to enhance user experience and simplify personal finance management, Paytm has introduced a highly anticipated feature that allows users to download their UPI transaction statements directly from the app. This new option provides a convenient way to track and manage expenses, helping users stay on top of their budgets and tax filing needs.
Why This New Feature Matters
Managing finances can be challenging, especially with frequent UPI transactions. With this new feature, Paytm users can easily access transaction details, which include important information such as transaction amounts, recipients, timestamps, and associated bank accounts. This makes the task of reviewing transactions for tax filing or budgeting more organized and straightforward.
Easy Access Under “Balance & History”
The UPI statement download option is available in the “Balance & History” section of the app, allowing users to select a specific date range or financial year for the statement. Currently, users can download the report in PDF format, and an Excel download option is expected to roll out soon.
This addition comes as a welcome change for many users who rely on UPI for everyday payments but often struggle to track or categorize these transactions.
Paytm’s Financial Growth Amid New Feature Launch
This new feature follows a strong financial performance for Paytm, which reported a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of INR 930 Cr for Q2 FY25, a significant recovery from the INR 292 Cr loss reported in the same period last year. The company’s profitability was largely driven by the sale of its ticketing business to Zomato.
However, despite the profit, Paytm’s revenue from operations fell by 34% year-on-year, from INR 2,519 Cr in Q2 FY24 to INR 1,1660 Cr in the current quarter.
Conclusion: A Small But Significant Step Towards Financial Empowerment
By introducing the UPI statement download feature, Paytm is not just improving user experience but also empowering individuals to manage their finances better. With the tax season approaching, this feature will prove invaluable to those looking to streamline their financial records.
