Care.fi Attracts Top Investors in $8M Round to Transform Hospital Revenue Cycles

Gurugram-based healthcare fintech startup Care.fi has raised $8 million (approximately Rs 72.46 crore) in a Series A funding round as it looks to expand its AI-driven revenue cycle management platform for hospitals in India and international markets.

The funding round includes a mix of equity and debt, reflecting strong investor confidence in the company’s business model and growth trajectory in the fast-evolving healthtech space.

With fresh capital in hand, Care.fi plans to scale its technology, strengthen partnerships with hospitals, and accelerate its expansion strategy.

Breakdown of the $8 Million Funding Round

$5 Million in Equity Led by July Ventures

The equity portion of the round totaled $5 million and was led by July Ventures. The round also saw participation from Peak XV Partners, Accion Venture Lab, and Sadev Ventures.

The involvement of established venture capital firms signals confidence in Care.fi’s AI-based approach to solving revenue challenges in the healthcare sector.

$3 Million Raised as Debt

In addition to equity funding, Care.fi secured $3 million in debt financing from Trifecta Capital and Vivriti.

Debt funding allows startups to access capital without diluting ownership, while providing the financial flexibility needed to scale operations and improve infrastructure.

What Care.fi Does

AI-Led Revenue Cycle Management for Hospitals

Care.fi focuses on revenue cycle management (RCM), a critical process that ensures hospitals and healthcare providers receive timely and accurate payments for their services.

The startup leverages artificial intelligence to streamline billing, claims processing, insurance coordination, and payment collection. By automating and optimizing these processes, hospitals can reduce errors, improve cash flow, and lower administrative burdens.

In a healthcare system where delayed payments and complex reimbursement processes can strain hospital finances, AI-powered solutions like Care.fi’s platform offer significant efficiency gains.

Previous Fundraising Efforts

Before this Series A round, Care.fi had already raised approximately $5 million through a mix of debt funding.

Key earlier funding milestones include:

  • $2 million in debt from Trifecta Capital

  • $0.6 million from UC Inclusive Credit in July 2024

  • $957,000 in debt from Wint Wealth and Caspian in 2024

  • About $650,000 from RevX to enhance support for the Ayushman Bharat scheme

These earlier rounds helped the company strengthen its technology, expand its hospital network, and support public healthcare initiatives such as Ayushman Bharat, India’s flagship health insurance scheme.

The latest $8 million round significantly boosts its total funding and positions the startup for its next phase of growth.

Scaling in India and Beyond

Expanding Domestic Footprint

India’s healthcare sector is rapidly digitizing, creating opportunities for fintech-healthtech platforms that improve financial efficiency in hospitals.

By scaling its AI-led revenue cycle solution, Care.fi aims to deepen its presence across Indian hospitals, from large private chains to mid-sized healthcare providers.

Improved billing accuracy and faster claim settlements can directly impact hospital profitability, making revenue cycle technology increasingly essential.

Targeting Overseas Markets

In addition to domestic growth, Care.fi plans to explore international markets. Healthcare systems globally face similar challenges around billing complexity and delayed reimbursements, especially in regions with mixed public-private insurance frameworks.

Expanding overseas could help Care.fi tap into larger addressable markets and diversify its revenue streams.

Why Investors Are Betting on Healthcare Fintech

The healthcare fintech sector sits at the intersection of two fast-growing industries: digital healthcare and financial technology.

Hospitals worldwide are under pressure to reduce operational inefficiencies while maintaining high-quality patient care. AI-driven financial automation offers a compelling solution.

Investors are increasingly drawn to startups that provide:

  • Clear cost-saving benefits

  • Strong recurring revenue models

  • Scalability across geographies

  • Integration with existing hospital systems

Care.fi’s hybrid funding structure—combining equity and debt—also reflects a maturing startup that is balancing growth with financial discipline.

The Road Ahead

With $8 million in fresh capital, Care.fi is expected to focus on:

  • Enhancing its AI capabilities

  • Expanding hospital partnerships

  • Strengthening compliance and security systems

  • Growing its presence in new markets

As healthcare providers continue to digitize operations, platforms that streamline financial processes are likely to see rising demand.

Care.fi’s latest funding round not only strengthens its financial position but also reinforces investor belief in AI-driven healthcare fintech solutions.

If executed well, the company could become a key player in transforming how hospitals manage revenue cycles in India and beyond.
