In the world of entrepreneurship, persistence often separates success from failure. For Shreejit Awari, that persistence didn’t just take him through the ups and downs of business—it took him all the way to the skies.
From Startups to Skyward Dreams
After graduating with an engineering degree in 2019, Shreejit threw himself into the world of work and startups. He taught, trained, and launched ventures—some successful, others not. “Some ideas took flight, others didn’t, but the passion for building stayed,” he recalls.
Yet, beyond the boardrooms and brainstorming sessions, one childhood dream refused to fade: becoming a commercial pilot.
The Rough Takeoff
Aviation training is expensive—sometimes prohibitively so. With the support of his parents, Shreejit decided to invest in his dream. But reality hit hard. His first flying school promised to complete his Commercial Pilot License (CPL) in 18 months. After paying the initial installment, communication broke down, calls went unanswered, and refunds were refused.
With no mentor to guide him, Shreejit relied on Google and YouTube, teaching himself the DGCA syllabus late into the night.
A second school offered hope, but slow flying hours and repeated delays tested his patience yet again. “I saw so many students like me—drained financially and emotionally—because of unclear guidance and never-ending waiting periods,” he says.
Taking Control

Frustrated but determined, Shreejit took a bold step. He traveled abroad, managed his training independently, and worked tirelessly to complete his CPL. His journey was marked by sleepless nights, relentless self-study, and the constant belief of his parents.
When he finally held his Commercial Pilot License, it wasn’t just a personal milestone—it was a story of grit, resilience, and taking control when the system failed him.
Building for Others: The Birth of Pilot Pathshala
Shreejit realized his experience wasn’t unique—many aspiring pilots face the same struggles. That’s why he founded Pilot Pathshala, a free platform offering DGCA syllabus lessons, mentorship from experienced pilots, and transparent career guidance.
Today, over 180 students are using Pilot Pathshala to navigate their aviation journeys with clarity and confidence.
His mission is bold yet simple: make aviation education accessible, transparent, and inspiring, so that no dream is grounded due to misinformation or lack of guidance.
A Vision Beyond the Horizon
For Shreejit, the sky isn’t the limit—it’s just the beginning. “The aviation industry has room for everyone,” he says. “All you need is the right direction to take off.”
From the challenges of entrepreneurship to the cockpit of a commercial aircraft, Shreejit Awari’s journey is a testament to the power of persistence—and a reminder that when passion meets purpose, there’s no altitude you can’t reach.
