India’s Favorite Home Services App Is Going Public! Urban Company’s ₹1,900 Crore IPO Could Be the Hottest of 2025

Get ready — Urban Company, the app you call when your AC breaks down or you need a last-minute beauty session, is about to make its grand debut on the stock market. The home services giant has announced a ₹1,900 crore IPO, and retail investors are buzzing about whether this could be the Zomato moment for India’s on-demand service industry.

The IPO will open on September 10 and close on September 12, with a price band of ₹98–₹103 per share. For as little as ₹14,935, you can grab your first slice of Urban Company’s fast-growing empire.

The numbers behind the hype

Urban Company isn’t just another startup testing the IPO waters. It’s profitable — and growing fast. In FY25, revenue shot up 38% year-on-year to over ₹1,144 crore, while profits swung dramatically from a ₹92.77 crore loss in FY24 to a ₹239.76 crore profit.

In the June quarter of FY26 alone, it reported:

  • Revenue: ₹367.26 crore
  • Net Profit: ₹6.93 crore
  • Growth: Nearly 20% YoY

That’s not just survival in the brutal gig economy — it’s thriving.

Where your money will go

Of the total issue, about ₹472 crore will be raised through fresh equity. Urban Company plans to pour this into:

  • Technology and cloud infrastructure (₹190 crore) – think AI-powered service matching and next-gen scheduling.
  • Marketing blitz (₹90 crore) – because who doesn’t want more ads showing spotless homes?
  • Lease payments (₹75 crore) – boring but necessary.
  • Corporate growth – the catch-all bucket for future plays.

The rest, ₹1,428 crore, will come from early backers cashing out, including Accel, Bessemer, and Elevation Capital.

What’s in it for investors?

At the upper price band, Urban Company’s market cap will hover between ₹14,095 crore and ₹14,790 crore. Big institutional investors get the lion’s share of the pie (75%), but retail investors still have a shot at 10% of the issue. Employees get a sweetener too — shares at a ₹9 discount.

With over 54,000 active service professionals across 51 cities in India, the UAE, and Singapore, Urban Company has firmly cemented its place as the go-to brand for urban households. And with new product lines under its Native brand (think water purifiers and electronic locks), it’s not stopping at services.

Why this IPO could explode

The IPO frenzy in India has already shown how consumer-tech brands can grab massive attention. From Zomato’s rollercoaster ride to Nykaa’s blockbuster listing, investors love stories that connect to their daily lives.

Urban Company ticks all the right boxes:

  • Big brand recognition
  • Explosive revenue growth
  • Profitable operations
  • Massive untapped market in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities

In other words, this isn’t just an IPO — it’s a chance to bet on the future of how India lives, works, and hires services.
